Come listen to music, eat delicious garlic fries, and raise funds for Building Futures! Thank you to Nat and Kera Binns for choosing Building Futures to receive all the door proceeds and being great champions of the work. The first day of school is around the corner; Building Futures’ annual Back-to-School drive is back! About half of residents at Alameda’s Midway Shelter, the San Leandro Shelter, and Sister Me Home Safe House are children. We count on caring neighbors like YOU to help these young scholars start the year right.

Make an online donation today at givedirect.org/buildingfutures/backtoschool – which we now have set up as a “registry” or “shopping list” so you can choose the supplies you would like to donate. You can also help by mailing or dropping off Target, Walmart, or Visa Gift Cards in $25 denominations to 1840 Fairway Drive, San Leandro, CA 94577. Please remember to send an email to gi[email protected] to make an appointment to drop off your gift cards.
THANK YOU!

Help brighten the first days of school for homeless children at our shelters!

As children prepare for a new school year, we want to ensure they are well equipped and feeling confident! We need your help to set kids up for success in this new school year!

Gift cards are amazing! They give families the ability to respond to the child’s most immediate need! We’ve also set up a “shopping list” to raise money for high need items to set up the children for success--you can add multiple “items” when you donate. New shoes and new clothing are at the top of this list for children at the Alameda Midway Shelter, San Leandro Shelter and our Domestic Violence Safe House.

On average, 51% of the residents at our 3 emergency homeless shelters are children. Now more than ever, your support is appreciated! Please share with family, friends, churches, community groups, and anyone you think would be interested.
