Domestic Violence Awareness Month

Domestic Violence Awareness Month
Join us this month to spread awareness about domestic violence

October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month. Here’s what we’re doing to raise awareness in Alameda County.

Did you know that one in three women in this country will experience domestic violence in her lifetime?

Join us! Sat., Oct. 12th • 12pm - 6pm

All month long, $1 goes to Building Futures every time you order a pint of our partner beer, Strawberry Creme, a blonde ale brewed with strawberries and lactose, a light bodied with tasting notes of berry pie, and watermelon. Yum! Food by Canasta Street Kitchen, menu here. Donations will be encouraged all month long! Thank you, Cleophus Quealy, for your support a second year in a row! #DVAM2019.

Cleophus Quealy Beer Company will be hosting an awareness-raising party and “Saturday Social” for the community and to benefit Building Futures’ work on Domestic Violence. Come meet our staff, learn about our work, and have some food and have a beverage!

October Coffee for a Cause!

We’ve partnered with coffeehouses Zocalo and Local for a pilot project to raise awareness, one coffee at a time! Learn more about our programs, including our 24-hour crisis line, from our custom “Love is Respect” coffee sleeves!
