Midway Shelter Renovation

Midway Shelter Renovation

On January 15th, Building Futures and MidwayShelter hosted funders and city leaders after a major renovation to the site. So grateful to the City of Alameda for funding and to the Alameda Homeless Network for financing furnishings and much more. Thanks to Alameda Municipal Power, Naval Reserve Center, and site supervisors at Mobile One Construction—as well as the project lead, Miriam Delagrange. Emergency Services Director Sabrina Thomas and her team have been amazing!

MIDWAY SHELTER provides 25 beds, food, and shelter in a safe and welcoming environment. Residents receive case management, domestic violence support, connection to income/public benefits, employment help, physical and behavioral health care referrals, children’s services, and more. Support for Midway helps support new beginnings for women and children! Check our website for more news and ways to help.

Our dedication and passion for ending homelessness one key at a time continues. Our mission continues. Everyday we build better futures for families and individuals in Alameda County. Everyone deserves a safe place to call home!
